Mozilla and Microsoft continue to do battle

Mozilla and Microsoft continue to do battle on the browser front. Mozilla estimates a release of Firefox 3.0 sometime in the latter half of 2007. Some of the features that Firefox will be completely overhauled will be the bookmark system and offer new identity management tools. A preview of Firefox 3.0, knicknamed Gran Paradiso Alpha 1, was released earlier last month. Microsoft in the meantime is working on the next upgrade to IE 7.0 which is IE 8.0. The question is if they will be faster with their browser upgrades than they have in the past.
